Wind Down In Winter

Self care is so important and let’s you set aside time to take care of yourself so that you can be healthynourish your body & mind and help get you through the often dreaded winter.
A simple way help you regularly look after yourself is to set a regular self care routine that you can look forward to – see it as investing time to prioritise your health so you can feel good! A wind down routine just before bedtime is a great way to help relax you for a good night’s sleep, and give you something to do while you stay warm and cosy indoors. Some simple ways to do this include:

Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness helps give us space and focus on the present moment. Activities like journaling, breathwork and meditation (apps like Headspace and Calm are great free apps to guide you) can help create a sense of calm and reduce stress, clearing your mind for productivity and cultivating appreciation which makes us feel happier!

Limit Screen Time

Say goodnight to your devices and put them away for at least an hour before bed. This will help to reduce disruptive thoughts and promote better sleep. It’s not always easy to resist the temptation but turning on ‘do not disturb’ mode, using a sleep/wake up alarm setting to prompt you or putting it away in a drawer or on the other side of the room will help stop you reaching for it (we promise, it’s not as hard as it sounds).

Take a Relaxing Bath

Keeping you nice and warm during these colder months, and also the perfect way to unwind and relax – add Epsom Bath Salts to help relax tired muscles, sprinkle Rose and Lavender petals for sweet scents, light some candles and grab a book to turn it into a whole R&R affair.

Mini Pamper Session

Treat yourself (and your skin) with a home facial – add a hot drink and put on some relaxing music for the ultimate treat. Try our Chamomile Tea for calming and caffeine-free.
