How to Use

How to use: Tip the contents of the jar into a saucepan with 150ml water. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar dissolves, then simmer for 10 minutes to make a spiced syrup.
Pour in one 75cl bottle of red wine and warm gently for 10-15 minutes. Don't let it boil. Strain through a fine sieve or muslin and serve warm. Serves 6.

Alcohol-free mulled cider: use 750ml cloudy apple juice instead of wine.
