Health Benefits & Other Info

💓Why We Love it:

So how do you pronounce Açaí?
Simple as 1-2-3: ah-sigh-EE.
But don’t be fooled by the easy pronunciation—this deep purple berry is a true nutritional powerhouse, packed with gut-loving benefits.

Fruity and bold, açaí is often celebrated as a superfood. Our organic açaí powder is sustainably harvested in the Brazilian rainforest using traditional techniques. The berries are pulped and freeze-dried almost immediately to help preserve their fresh flavour and nutritional value.

Açaí is high in fibre, which supports normal bowel function, and a source of vitamin E, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It also provides iron, which helps reduce tiredness and fatigue and supports normal cognitive function. Naturally rich in omega-6 and omega-9 fats, this nutrient-dense powder is a delicious addition to smoothie bowls and plant-based breakfasts.

🤸The Benefits Breakdown:

🫐 Antioxidants

What are antioxidants good for? Antioxidants like vitamin C, vitamin E, and polyphenols help protect the body’s cells from oxidative stress, a natural process linked to ageing and environmental exposure. Eating antioxidant-rich foods—such as berries, nuts, and leafy greens—supports overall cell health and contributes to your body’s natural defence systems.

🥑 Omega-3, 6 & 9 Fatty Acids

What are omega-3, 6 and 9 fats good for?
These healthy fats play important roles in supporting overall wellbeing. Omega-3 and omega-6 are essential fatty acids, meaning the body can't produce them on its own—they must come from food sources like flaxseeds, chia seeds, and walnuts. They contribute to the normal function of the heart and support a balanced inflammatory response. Omega-9 (like oleic acid) is a non-essential fat the body can produce, but it's still beneficial when included in a balanced diet and known to support heart health and help maintain normal cholesterol levels.

🌾 Fibre

What is fibre good for?
Dietary fibre supports healthy digestion by helping food move through the gut efficiently and contributes to normal bowel function. High-fibre foods like oats, seeds, legumes, and whole fruits can also help maintain regularity and support a healthy gut environment—naturally and gently.

🌍 Where its from:

What is Acai? Açaí is a small, deep purple berry native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, especially the Brazilian Amazon. Unlike many berries, açaí isn't typically eaten raw—the outer skin is tough and fibrous. To make it edible, the berries are first soaked to soften the skin, then pureed into a rich pulp, which is freeze-dried to lock in flavour and preserve nutrients.

Açaí is also an environmentally sustainable, non-timber forest product. According to Greenpeace, “the rapid regeneration of the [açaí] plant makes it a far preferable and sustainable alternative to large-scale logging.” This means your purchase supports rainforest conservation and provides economic alternatives for local communities that help protect the Amazon’s biodiversity.
